Cazarin Family missions -- Mexico to France via Spain
October 14, 2008
Dear Family,
Greetings from Spain! We pray this finds you all well and blessed. We are starting to have some cooler weather here as we have had some stormy weather with rain move through the Coast this week, and we have been enjoying it after our very hot summer we had this year. On October 8th Vicente & I celebrated our 20th anniversary and we are thanking the Lord for these years He has given us together. Being able to Serve the Lord as a family has been our greatest joy. It is such a joy and a blessing to us as parents that our children are serving the Lord and ministering right along with us. I am including some photos from 2 Sundays ago in which the youth lead the whole Sunday service and did an excellent job, it was very encouraging to many to see the kids excited about the things of the Lord and ministering on a deep level both in the Worship and also in the Word.
This past Sunday we had full Sunday School classes with the children and it is such a joy to see these little ones coming to church as many of them come alone with out their parents, but they are learning about the things of the Lord and through the children their parents lives are also being touched. One boy age 10 started coming to church with his Mom and in the beginning his attitude was not too good. He very obviously did not want to come to church but was made to come with his Mom. He has been in Wendy's class for the past year and through much love, teaching, prayers, patience, he is a totally change boy! He loves to come to church and is so friendly and talks up a storm, and he began to pray for his unsaved Dad. This boy would go home and constantly share the Bible truths he was learning at church with his dad, and now his Dad is in regular attendance in church! The boy's Mother was sharing with me that their whole home life situation has improved so much and her husband is now a changed man and the whole family is now very happy!
Praise the Lord that is what the Gospel is about lives being changed. Another set of children that come to church come from an abusive home life and a Sister from church picks them up every Sunday and brings the kids to church although the parents don't attend. One of the girls age 7 was severely raped at the beginning of this year by a family member that is now in prison. This little girl was very hurt and fearful. This Sunday as she was standing in church with such a big smile on her face, Praising the Lord and raising her hands I looked at her and all the fear, and sadness we had witnessed months back was gone. I just Praised the Lord for only He could do such a work and heal her body, soul and spirit and make he whole again. She was in my class and now she is in Wendy's class and is doing so well, we Praise the Lord for these little ones that He is bringing into the church. They are a treasure, and a
blessing from the Lord!
The next two weeks Pastor John & Patti will be gone to some conferences and a wedding in some other countries here in Europe so Vicente & I will be caring for the church while they are gone. All I can say is it is a joy to serve Jesus!
Well I need to get this sent as I have much to do. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We
love and appreciate you and thank God for your lives. Thank you for your prayers for us. Also for your continued prayers for Christian, his family still has not heard back from the kidnappers. We just keep on pressing on with our prayers believing for Victory.

Dear Friends and Family,
Grace and peace to you. We pray that this finds you all well, blessed, and resting in the Lord. As we watch the daily news from around the world unfold, and see so many crisis situations and uncertainties in this world, we rejoice that our feet are planted on the Rock and that our hope and trust is not in man but in the Lord God Almighty! Truly there is no one like our God, and there is nothing too hard or too difficult for the Lord so each day we run to our God and find our refuge and strength in Him.

As for us we are all fine. We just got home from youth group, and we had a really great time in the Lord. When we came to Spain one of the areas that Pastors John and Patti asked us to start was the youth group. There are only 8 youth at the moment but we are pleased to see the growth in their life. Tomorrow the Youth will be leading the whole church service. We are very excited for this as most of the kids are pretty young and it is just awesome to see the youth growing in the Lord and beginning to step out and minister in the church. Wendy 18, will be leading the worship along with Kasia 16, who will be playing the guitar. Another young man Jose Manuel 15, will be playing the bass, Vicente will help out with the drums and another brother with the keyboard. Two of the girls Betsara 12 and Susana 13, will be back up singing. For the sermon Isaiah, Wendy, and another young man Jose Manuel will be preaching. The Sermon theme is: " It Is Time". Jose Manuel, will be sharing "It is time to Evangelize", Wendy, will be sharing "It is time to Live", & Isaiah 13, will be sharing "It is time to Decide". It is so wonderful to see this new generation rising up with fire and passion for the Lord. I will take some pictures to send to you in the next e-mail.

I am happy to report that this past week after having taken a summer break the church kicked off with 5 new cell groups starting up! Praise the Lord for this victory! This past year there were only 2 groups. So as the church has been growing new groups are starting up. Tomorrow there is going to be a ministry fair after church so people can sign up to help out in various ministries in the church. Some of the ministries are already in existence while some will be totally new. All of these things speak of growth and we rejoice for what the Lord is doing in this place.

An area in which we still need much prayer is regarding our renewal of our Visas. It is a very long story but as of yet we have not had our visas renewed and they have given each member of our family totally different dates for renewing our visas, some of us not until 6 months from now! Because of this we have been praying and fasting and plan to make a trip to Madrid and go to Immigration to petition for a timely renewal for all of us. We definitely need God's favor in this! Please keep us in your prayers. We already have our tickets to fly to Mexico November 27th but possibly will have to delay our trip because of our visa situation. Another need we have is for a vehicle to travel with once we get to the USA. So please keep this need in your prayers as well.

For those of you who have been praying for our friend Christian who was kidnapped in Mexico 10 days ago as of yet there has been no word from the captors since 8 days ago. Tomorrow is Christian's 15th Birthday so please continue to pray for him and for his family. His Grandparents who live in Costa Rica have just flown to Iguala to be with the family at this difficult time.
Thank you so much for your prayers! We love and appreciate you and truly could not be here and do what we do without your prayers and support. We pray for you also and want you to know that you are a blessing to our lives! Hugs to you all from our family!

Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings from sunny Spain. We are very happy to report some answers to prayers, and want to thank you all who have been praying for us. This past week Vicente went to Madrid once again to try and submit Kasia & Isaiah's papers for renewal of the residency Visas, and Praise the Lord they accepted their papers this time! Now we have to wait for the appointment letter to go to Madrid and get their fingerprinting done for the new cards. Today we received a letter for my renewal Praise the Lord! So on Thursday night Vicente & I will ride the bus up to Madrid (7 hours) so we can stand in line early Friday morning to get our Visas. The lines outside of the Imigration office are blocks long with hundreds of people in line so as soon as we get to the office we have to get in line although they do not open until 9:30 a.m. We often have to stand in line for several hours before it's our turn
to get into the building. So we covet your prayers for us as we stand in line and then ride the bus back to home in the afternoon.
This past week we celebrated the church's 6th anniversary and it was a wonderful time of Praise & Worship and fellowshiping together. We are very happy to report that the new people that have begun to come to church in the last few months are now taking the church membership classes! Lucas, the young man that was mixed up in Spiritism and Ocultism and just got saved about a month ago has been faithfully coming to church and has now started the membership classes. This Sunday as part of the Worship team we were up on the platform and as we were just singing and worshiping the Lord Lucas had tears streaming down his face and he was so touched by the Lord that it just made my heart so glad to see how God is changing him. We can already see such a change on his countenance that it brings great joy to our hearts. That is what the Gospel is all about Lives being Changed and Transformed! Halleluya!
We want to thank You for your continued prayers for us and for the work of the Lord here in Spain. We are seeing the answers to all the prayers! We serve such an awesome God, who answers us when we call, who does great and mighty wonders and miracles!
I want to share with you the testimony of a young man from one of the drug rehab centers in Germany. ( part of our church group we belong to here in Europe) This guy gave his testimony at camp. He had been a former drug traffiker and also a user himself. Part of his family was killed in the whole drug scenario, and his wife left him. He entered the Drug Rehab program, and after being in the program 3 months as part of the program some of the men were sent to help clear out a house where an old lady had died, and to move out the furniture and get the house ready to sell. While moving a very old clothes dryer he found 120,000 Euros in crisp bills wraped in bags hidden in the dryer which is $180,000 USD. Because he had accepted Christ during this time in his heart he knew the only thing he could do was turn the money in. So he turned in the money to the directors of the rehab center and they
called the Lawyer that was handling the ladys estate. To make a very long story short News of this got out and was in the newspapers, then on varios radio stations, and then several TV programs went and interviewed him and the ministry center as most people could not imagine why and ex-drug traffiker would turn in such a large amount of money. Because of this he was able to give his testimony and all over Germany people were able to hear the Gospel message! Praise the Lord!
In closing I want to share with you some pictures of our city as viewed from the mountain top. This past week Wendy had the oportunity to go to the top of the mountain on a cable car with 2 friends from church and took these pictures. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. We are able to be here and see lives transformed because of your partnering with us to bring the Gospel to this place. Thank you for being part of the team! Blessings to you all!

As some of you may be aware we live in a highly populated Muslim area just across from Morroco and right now they are celebrating the 30 days of Ramadan. There is a prayer guide for the 30 days and last week focused on the Muslims of Spain so I am enclosing the section on Spain, which mentions specifically the Iberian peninsula where we live now known as Andalucia.
Islam in 21st century Europe
Much of Spain was under Islamic rule for almost seven hundred years. Al-Andalus, was the Arabic name given to those parts of the Iberian Peninsula governed by Muslims, or Moors, up until the fall of the last Islamic stronghold, the city of Granada, in 1492. Muslim Spain or "Al-Andalus" is still seen by some as a good example of how Christians, Jews and Muslims should live together. However, most scholars have demonstrated that this ideal of Al-Andalus is not realistic.
Today's Spain has around 800,000 Muslims, most of whom are fairly recent Moroccan immigrants. One of the largest mosques in Europe, which was built with financial help from Saudi Arabia, is located in Madrid. Although the Muslim North Africans have now become a significant minority in Spain, few Spanish Christians are actively seeking to proclaim Christ to them. This is also surprisingly true in the two Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla which are actually on the northern Moroccan coast. In those cities almost half the population is Muslim.
Happily there have been large efforts, especially in the port cities of Algeciras and Malaga, to distribute literature, cassettes and DVDs to Muslims travelling to and from Morocco. Unfortunately there are almost no Arab or Berber followers of Jesus who meet regularly for worship and mutual encouragement; some groups have made some attempts to do so but often in unfavourable circumstances. A few North Africans from a Muslim background are now studying in Spanish Bible schools. Their situation is not easy since they are often rejected by family and friends.
Prayer Starters
* Committed Spanish believers are relatively few in number, however, there are increasing opportunities for them to reach out to Muslims living in Spain. Pray for greater wisdom, zeal and mobilisation of Spanish Christians for ministry among Muslims.
* Pray for the distribution of Gospel literature and DVDs in areas where there are Muslims.
* Pray for North African young people who come to study in Spanish Bible schools.
* Pray for the radio and TV programmes being produced in Spain for North Africa.

I am writing this letter to say that God is good all the time and I love Him more and more each day!
It is such a great privilege and honor to be able to serve the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! I have the Best Boss in the world! I am so happy to be here in Spain for such a time as this. When we first came to live in Spain I must say it was not easy and I did not like it here very much, but now God has given me such a great love for the people of this country and the place where we live, and I am very happy to be here!

This past weekend we were at the Camp up in Ciudad Real, it is a camp that is held annually by the church group we work with. The organization we work under here in Spain has as it's main ministry drug rehab centers all over the world. In fact most start the ministry with a drug rehab center and over time as it grows they also start a church. This week of camp was the best I have been to so far! It was just so awesome to be worshiping the Lord amidst hundreds of people, the majority of them former drug addicts, prostitutes, drug traffickers, alcoholics, former gang members, etc. Some of them really bad people before they came to Christ, but now in Christ they have been washed clean by the blood of the Lamb, they have been made whole, restored. So many got up and gave their testimonies of how they were literally dying on the streets when they were rescued by someone from the drug rehab centers, they were taken in and cared for and loved and through that love over time they were healed, restored, set free, coming into a totally new life in Christ! In fact our Main Speaker was an ex drug addict saved under David Wilkerson's ministry around the same time as Nicky Cruz. Many of the people have AIDS but they are now living their life fully for the Lord and giving their All to God. Many people went forward to receive Christ as their Savior when the altar call was given. Most of the Leaders and
Pastors of the churches are people who were at one time on the streets. I had the great honor of translating the main service with a mic and headsets for people from all the other countries that were non- Spanish speaking. I translated the sermon to English. We had people from India, Korea, Germany, Russia, Japan, England, Portugal, Poland, Italy, Morocco, USA, Nigeria, lots of Latin countries and who knows were else these are the ones I know for certain were there. One of the Greatest moments in the meeting was when the Worship leader
asked all who spoke a foreign tongue to come up and sing "How Great is our God" in their language. It was sung in 12 languages and it was like there was such a heavy presence of the Lord in the tent that it felt like electricity. As the song was sung in so many languages I felt like it was just a small glimpse and taste of Heaven!

WOW! AWESOME FOR SURE!
Well I want to wrap this up by saying once again, I would not trade my life being able to serve the Lord for all the riches in the world. There is no greater Joy than in serving the Lord. Wherever He sends me I will go, this world in not my home anyway, I am just passing through! ~
Merry

Dear Family and Friends,
Just a quick note to let you know that we are rejoicing in God's goodness to us! On Thursday we had the opportunity to buy a car from a Spanish Pastor friend who is moving to another area of Spain. It is a Hyundai Accent, it is 10 years old but has only been driven here in the city, they have been the sole owners and it only has 60,ooo miles on it. It is small but we are very happy to finally have a car after having lived here 2 years with no transportation! God is Good!
Now we have a major prayer request that our Residency Visas be renewed soon so we can get the car insured and also so Vicente can get a Spanish drivers license. We can not do either of these things until our residency cards are renewed. We applied for our renewal in March, but everything in Immigration here is very slow.
The whole month of August all government businesses are closed down so we are praying that when the offices re open in September we will be given an appointment right away for the Renewal of our residency. Vicente & I have a conference to attend in Switzerland in October and if we do not get our cards renewed right away we will not be able to travel.
Also we will be flying to Mexico on November 27th, we plan to do some traveling in both Mexico and Texas so we need to be done with all our residency papers before we leave, so we will not have any trouble re-entering the country when we fly back. Please pray they will renew our cards for 2 years this time.
Thank you so much for your prayers we really appreciate them!
Love and Blessings to you all,
The Cazarins

Msftedit 5.41.15.1507;Dear Friends & Family in Christ Jesus,
Greetings from the Coast Lands of Spain! We pray this finds you all well and blessed. Soon we will be celebrating our second year anniversary of having arrived here in Spain, and at this time we are renewing our residency visas so that we might continue on here. We are seeing many good positive t
hings happen, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and lives are being changed and transformed.
For some time now the church has been organizing prayer vigils every 3 to 4 months each prayer time lasts 3 full days. We call it 24/3 Prayer. There is a prayer room that is set up specifically for this event, and the church people participate by signing up on time slots to pray around the clock. We have seen many positive results from these times of prayer, as prayers have been answered for many specific needs. As we have been praying we have cried out to God for a Visitation, for God to move mightily and bring a New Day of Spiritual awakening and revival to Spain. These last weeks Spain has experienced some major victories in the area of Sports. For the first time in 44 years Spain won the Soccer Euro Cup. A whole generation under 50 had never seen their team win. Also this past week in Tennis Spain won the Wimbledon Cup which is a first in 42 years. Both of these events were Historical in Sports. The first in Soccer because they won every single game they played. The second in Tennis because it was a historical 5 hour game, considered to be one of the best matches ever played in the history of tennis. So where am I going with this? I have always believed that things happen first in the natural that announce a new thing that God is going to do by His Spirit. I believe that there is a great Victory, a great day of Salvation ahead that has never before been seen. A Victory much more important than any sports event, a Victory that is coming when there is an outpouring of God's Spirit upon this place and there is a great harvest of souls coming into God's Kingdom!
Yes, I believe it, and I want to be a part of what God is doing in this place! Because people here are so passionate about sports we have seen that as a tool for evangelism. On 2 different occasions during some of the final games we invited people to our house to watch the game. On the final Championship game we had some youth and women who came to our house and we went outside and waved the Spanish banners and declared Victory, Freedom, and as people walked by we prayed for them. Many neighbors were amazed that even though we are not from this country we would be willing to celebrate with them. God is giving us different strategies
to reach out to the people here.
One of the strategies that God has given us is through sharing food with people. We've found that the people here really like Mexican Food and also home baked desserts. So since that is something I like to do we have made Mexican food and desserts to share with people. In the beginning it is hard to get people to come to the house for a meal so we take food to them at their home or work place. Many are amazed as they say no one has ever taken them anything or shown any type of appreciation toward them and the work that they do. Because of this sharing of food one man has begun to come to church as an answer to many prayers!
There have been 4 new men attending church and that in itself is a great Victory here in Spain. Two of the men are Spaniards, one is from Ukraine, and one from Paraguay. Also the children's ministry has grown as new kids have been coming as well.
In Summer time church attendance throughout Europe is usually very low as many people take vacations and head for the beaches, and sad to say they basically take vacation from church as well. But this year we are happy to report that instead of attendance dropping we have had about 9 new people come into the church in the last 6 weeks! Praise the Lord!
Today we are showing a movie at church called "Facing The Giants" , we will be serving pop corn and drinks. The purpose in this is for church members to have a good, relaxing time together but also for them to invite new people to attend. So as I write this Vicente and the children are busy in the kitchen popping corn and filling individual bags to hand out to everyone who comes.
In closing I wanted to share with you the testimony about Conrado who at the beginning of the year was so full of cancer and dying. He was only given a 3% to nothing chance to live. In January when we visited him in the Hospital he was all swollen, yellow, on a respirator, septic, he was dying. The Pastors John & Patti and ourselves visited him in the Hospital praying over him, singing to him, and reading him the Word. The church prayed much for him. This past Sunday he was in church walking, worshiping the Lord and said that the Doctors have now declared him Cancer free! Praise the Lord! What a mighty God we serve!
Thank you for being a part of what the Lord is doing here in Spain! Through your prayers and support you are participants with us in the labors and harvest in this place, and we love and appreciate you and thank God for your lives because you are part of the team that is helping bring the Gospel to the Nations!
We have had a great burden for a gang of youth who gathers behind out apartment buildings to do drugs and we are praying at this time and asking the Lord to give us strategies of how we might reach these youth with the Gospel. Please help us pray for them that God will give us the strategy, and the open doors to reach out to them.
We pray the Lord bless and prosper each one of you in the place where you are and in all that you are doing. We send our love and Hugs!
PRAYER REQUESTS:
1. For the speedy renewal of our residency visas
2. For Divine health over the whole family
3. For Economic Provision
4. For the new people coming into the church for Salvation, Restoration,
For Discipleship and Spiritual Growth.
5. For Strategies of Evangelism for this city specifically for reaching the youth.
6. Salvation for the older generation of Spaniards.

Dear Friends and family,
Here are a few pictures from this past weekend adolescent & youth camp. Vicente & I rented a van and took 7 youth total including our 3. It went very well and the kids were blessed by the words spoken. Also the time of fellowship of our group was great, being together for the 5 hour drive up and 5 hour dive back we all got to know each other more and it was good! The name of the camp where we went is Bethany and it is set in a beautiful countryside town and it is a Christian Retreat / Rehabilitation center. The group we work under here in Spain has many Rehabilitation Centers that rehabilitate people from drug and alcohol addiction. Many, many lives are being changed and transformed through this ministry. The countryside around the camp is so beautiful as it has been raining everything was very green, with sheep out to pasture and rolling hills of many colors, and olive groves, and almond trees, it was all just beautiful so I am enclosing some pictures.

This was the first time for the kids in our church to get to go to camp. In our group the kids have been learning to lead Praise & Worship and so we were asked to participate leading worship during camp. Our great surprise was that as it turned out we ended up leading worship for all of the camp sessions but one. Praise the Lord that it went very well even though it was their first time to do it many people commented that they thought they team had been doing it for a long time. Wendy lead the worship, Kasia played guitar, another young man played the bass and I helped out with second guitar. There were not any drums or percussions available for Vicente to play but on the very last session we were going to play a song that really needed a drum to carry the beat so Vicente improvised with what was available and that was a bucket turned upside down! It actually sounded very good and we made a joyful noise unto the Lord! This Sunday several of the youth will be giving their testimonies of God's move in their lives and what He is speaking to them. As a treat on the way home from camp we stopped for supper at a Burger King and that was lots of fun for the Kids as we rarely ever eat out. We are really pleased to see all God is doing in the lives of these kids and we are expecting great things to come forth out of this group in the days ahead.

I (Merry) will be preaching this Sunday. Also this Sunday is Isaiah's 13th Birthday so we will be having a 10 minute ceremony where the Pastors and Vicente & I will be speaking a word over Him and praying a blessing over his life.
We are very happy to report that the kids Sunday school classes are growing by leaps and bounds and we had to purchase tables and chairs as we have had so many kids come. Praise the Lord! Many of the children who come are brought by a Grandma, an Aunt, or a Babysitter, and these kids are getting the Gospel and taking it back to their parents and family. God is moving and working through the children and we are rejoicing in the Lord for all that He is doing! Thank you for being a part of our lives and the ministry here in Spain through your prayers and support.
We thank God for you! Many Blessings to you!
Love,
The Cazarin Family

Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings from the Coast lands of Spain! We pray that upon receiving this e-mail it finds you all well and blessed. These past 3 months have been very busy, I believe they have
been our busiest yet since arriving in Spain. Some years back a Prophet prophesied over Vicente and said he saw him as a man wearing many hats and truly this word is being fulfilled here in Spain but with the whole family as we have stepped into many areas of needed service here in the church and therefor are wearing " Many Hats" .
In a church plant there is always much more work than when a church is bigger and there are more people to share the work. At this time we are praying for the Lord to raise up new workers in the church. We are also preparing, and training, others to take over our job. Through the Sunday Bible School others are being discipled. This week I will be having a training course for Sunday School teachers and very soon we hope to be able to have new people participating in the church needs.
We are happy to report that the Lord is moving here is Spain. The church is growing. When we started the kids Sunday School classes we only had 4 or 5 kids, now we have been running about 15 or 16 kids every Sunday! And many of them come from un-churched homes and some of the littlest ones are going home and telling their parents about Jesus! God is using these little ones to reach the adults. Now we have a very present need for a new Classroom for Sunday School and we are in much need of small chairs and tables for the little kids class which is the largest.
In January there was a brother in the Hospital very sick with cancer and so that meant many Hospital visits for both the Pastors John & Patti and us. Praise the Lord, after 3 months in the Hospital and with the Drs. only giving him a 3% chance to live we are happy to report that Conrado is now home and was able to come to church 3 Sundays ago which is a great miracle . Now he is undergoing Chemo but the very fact he is alive is a miracle in itself. He told us that while he was in so much pain he had a vision of Jesus and the Lord washed over him with great peace and lead him through a beautiful valley of green pastures, and he asked the Lord: "Am I going to heaven now?" then Jesus looked at him and his eyes shone as brilliant stars and his eyes were like the ocean and he shook his head "No" and the next thing Conrado woke up out of his coma! So thank you all for praying! Keep praying God is doing great things! Hallelujah!
In February the Church had it's first wedding which was a very exciting event. Here in Spain it is very common that couples just live together and never marry. One couple that began coming to the church she is Brazilian he is Spaniard, they were living together. The Pastor encouraged them to separate until they could get married and they did just that in December. She went to live with a family in the church and during that time he got baptized and on February 10th they got married. What a great Celebration we had many of Rodrigo's family members who are not Christian came and were very touched to see all the love showed to this couple. His family commented that they have never seen a church like ours that shows so much love and is so joyful. So we are rejoicing for this open door for the Gospel. Now another couple in the church has decided to marry as well. They have seen the blessing that God has brought to the lives of Sonia & Rodrigo as they have obeyed in doing things God's way. Robinson and Marcia are a young couple and they have also separated temporarily and she has gone to live at the Pastor's house until they can get married. Now she will be baptized on Monday! They plan to wed in the church soon also.
Praise the Lord he is the one who is changing and transforming lives!
The owner of our building whom we have been evangelizing came to me and said: "I no longer confess to the priests, now I pray directly to God, my husband comes in and asks me who I am talking to, and I tell him to God who is with me" She also has begun to read her Bible and the Lord is opening her eyes to the Gospel. Please help us to continue to pray for them they are an elderly couple their names are Juan & Rosa (John & Rose).
Next week we will be having a neighbor to our house for a meal. We are trying to use friendship evangelism. This woman moved into our building on the
3rd floor and she is either French or Belgian I am not sure. Her name is Vicky please pray for her for Salvation.
In February Vicente Attended a Missions training School at a Bible School 2 hours North of us and received his Diploma in Missionology! I am very proud of him as he always has a heart to continue studying and learning more.
Also in February we had a Valentines dinner for couples. Patti & I cooked for the dinner and held it at the church and the kids waited the tables, it was a very nice, special time for couples to be together and also fellowship with others.
In February-March I Merry was on the road for 3 weeks traveling. A few days after the wedding I, Merry flew to Oaxaca and it was a great time of ministering in the church there and seeing friends. I was able to meet with some former Bible School students in Oaxaca and hear reports of what the Lord is doing in their lives. One of them in particular was just married and asked me to spend the afternoon with her and I was able to impart many things into her life. It was a very special time of fellowshipping together in the Lord. I was traveling for 3 weeks total before returning to Spain. On this occasion it was not possible for all of us to go because of the expense so I went alone and Vicente & the children remained in Spain.
Five days after returning home we all packed our suitcases and made a 5 hour trip north with 4 others from church to a Praise and Worship Camp for worship teams. It was a very wonderful time as many gathered from churches all over Spain and a few from other countries such as France came as well. This is an area in which God is bringing
change to the Churches in Spain as fresh move of God's Spirit is washing over the land through Praise and Worship.
Thank you for your prayers and support which enable us to be here and do what we do. We can not do it alone and we want to thank you for being a part of our lives and ministry through your prayers and support.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
1. Divine Health
2. Finances ( the exchange rate of the Euro is very high and the support we receive is less because of the exchange rate) God is Faithful and we are here through His provision.
3. Wisdom to do God's work here in Spain
4. For the renewal of our residency papers we have to submit this month.
5. Youth Camp April 18-20. We will be renting a van to take the youth to camp.
We need $500 for transportation and $75 per youth so we are selling home made cookies, etc. and doing all sorts of things to raise the funds.
THANK YOU FOR PRAYING!
We love and appreciate you. Let us hear from you and how you are doing! We send you our love and big Hugs to you all!

January 6, 2008
Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings from Spain and Happy New Year 2008 to you all! We pray this new year will be your best yet with God's favor upon your lives and His abundant blessings upon his children.
We are starting off this new year with great anticipation for what all God is going to do here in Spain but also around the world. For us 2007 was a very challenging year with Vicente's accident and adjusting to living here in Spain. But 2007 was also a very fulfilling year for us as we have seen God's hand upon us and seen new things birthed. This past year we were able to start the youth group here for the church something that did not exist in the church here until we came. The group is yet small but we have seen some very positive change in the youth that attend and we are believing for much growth this year. We have seen new people come into the church this year and are excited for all God is doing. The greatest miracle of all is seeing lives changed, and we are rejoicing for all God is doing.
In December our computer crashed, apparently we got a virus from an e-mail and it quit working. So we were not able to write and send photos from activities last month. Vicente took the computer into a repair shop and Praise the Lord they were able to fix it and were able to save some of our documents and photos although we did loose some of the programs which we have not been able to completely recover yet. I am glad to finally be able to send you some photos.
December was a very busy month for us as there were many activities going on at church and as a family we were all involved in one way or another. The Christmas program went very well. The script for the play was written by Wendy and Patti. It was a combination play setting interspersed with scenes from the Nativity and singing by the choir. Wendy even made a fake chimney out of cardboard and it looked so good that after the Christmas program was over we brought it home and put it in our living room. It has been so cold this year and we have no
heat so seeing it brings us cheer even if it doesn't really give out heat it brightens our home! We held the Christmas program 2 days in a row so different people were able to come each day and we had a good turn out. Isaiah has continued to make the announcements on power point and he created the backgrounds and set up the songs for the Christmas program and did an excellent job. Vicente worked for several days on the lights and sound system and built the platform for the choir al
ong with Pastor John. I, Merry, baked and cooked for several days ahead and provided a nice spread of food for the 2 days of the Christmas program. Then came New Years Eve which we also spent up at the church with about 30 others. We played games, ate and prayed and it was a wonderful time of being together and seeing in the New Year.
As we start off this new month in the year we are very excited for the Bible School starting up
beginning this Sunday. It is really a Discipleship training School which as of this Sunday, will run every Sunday afternoon for those who are interested. Every month will be a specific class which will run for the full month. Starting this month of January Vicente & I will be teaching on the Gifts of the Spirit and how to discover your gifts. There will be home work every week and at the end of the year we hope to present a diploma to those who finish out the whole year of study.
So far there are about 10 students signed up. Pastors John & Patti will also be teaching, and so teaming together it is our desire to see the church grow Spiritually as well as in number.
On a more personal note, as a family this has been a good, and happy year for us. Kasia turned "Sweet 16" in November and has been doing very well in school getting good grades. This year she has learned to play the guitar very well and is now playing for youth group and with the worship team for church on Wednesday nights, as well as helping with the power point for church. Isaiah is growing very fast and his voice is changing. He is doing some painting on canvas and is doing an excellent job with creating the weekly announcements for church on the computer. Wendy is 17 and finishing up her last year of High School and seeking the Lord for the next step He wants her to take. She has been a great blessing in the church teaching the children, and also singing as part of the worship team. I am so thankful to the Lord for all three and their willingness to serve the Lord here in Spain. As for Vicente & I this year we celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary and are thanking the Lord for sparing Vicente's life in the accident so we were able to celebrate another year together. Vicente still suffers some pain in his foot, hip, knees as a consequence of the accident and we would appreciate your prayers for a total restoration of his body. We never did receive payment for the loss of the Suburban. We do not have a vehicle now to travel so we really need your
prayers for for us a vehicle in Texas so we have a way to travel when we come and also for a vehicle here in Spain. Up until now we walk everywhere but some places are too far to walk or can only be reached via the highway so it makes it really necessary for us to have a mode of transportation as soon as possible. Thank you for helping us pray in a good vehicle at a good price. As many of you may be aware the Euro is very high right now it is much stronger than the dollar, so that has been a challenge to us as everything here is much more expensive than in the USA & Mexico. By God's grace we have renewed our contract for one more year on the apartment we rent. We want to recognize that it is by HIM and through HIM that we are here and we just rejoice for God's goodness and His Faithfulness to us in bringing us to this country. We are very happy to be here, for us it is a great privileged and honor to be able to serve the Lord!
As this New Year begins we thank God for you and for the blessing you our to our lives. Your friendship, prayers, support, encouragement mean so much to us and we want you to know we love and appreciate you! Big hugs from our family to you. Thank you for being a part of our lives and the ministry here in Spain!
Before closing I want to ask your prayers for a brother in the Lord. His name is Conrado and he came to Christ this year. He has cancer and is in the Hospital as he had surgery 2 weeks ago. Last night we went to the Hospital along with Pastors John and Patti to pray for him and he really needs a miracle from the Lord. Thank you for praying.
Blessings to you and may this be a wonderful year for you.

BIOGRAPHY
Vicente Cazarin was born into a Catholic family July 30, 1966. He grew up not knowing the Lord and at the age of 16 attended a crusade and received Christ in his heart as Savior and Lord. That was the total turning point in his life. He finished his career as a Technical Instrumentalist with Pemex, Mexico's oil company at the age of 17, and immediately answered the call of God on his life to serve Him in full time ministry. For the next 2 years, Vicente studied at a practical hands-on Bible School in Chimameca, Veracruz Mexico. At the age of 19, he was sent to pioneer his first church and within a years time had raised up a church with 70 members. After pasturing the church for a year he was sent to another struggling church for 3 months to give the pastor a much-needed break. It was during that time that he traveled to the state of Oaxaca to attend a Pastor's Seminar and it was there that he met his future wife Merry E. Johnson.
Merry was born on November 23, 1971 to missionary parents and was raised her whole life on the mission field. Merry from a very young age knew that she was called to ministry and had her heart to marry a pastor. So on October 8,1988 Vicente and Merry were united in Marriage in the city of Oaxaca, Oaxaca State Mexico. From that time they began to co-labor with another pastor of small church in a village of approximately 60 members. That church is the same church where they now serve today as associate pastors and the church has grown to over 400!
The Cazarin Family just returned from a trip to France. The call of God is for the nations to hear the gospel and wherever He leads they will go. The Cazarin Family continues to pray for France and are learning the language in hopes to one day reach the country with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the first 4 years after their marriage, Vicente and Merry served together with several other ministers in founding a music ministry group that traveled throughout Mexico teaching Praise and Worship and holding seminars and open-air crusades. After that time in 1992 they felt the call of the Lord to go to another city and share the gospel and there they were the pioneers of a new church and where they remained for 5 years.
In 1997 the Cazarin Family, now blessed with 3 children, moved to Dallas, Texas. Wendy Araina was born July 19,1990; Kasia Alexandra born November 26,1991; Vicente Isaias born April 27,1995. From the time the Children were small Vicente and Merry instilled in them that "We are called as a Family". So the children have formed a very important part in ministering alongside their parents. The Cazarin Family had never before lived in the United States so there was a period of a year in which they were adjusting to a new culture and learning the language. During that time the Lord led them to a small Hispanic church where they co-labored with the Pastors of that church for the next 3 years.
During their time in Dallas, the Cazarin's were also able to attend the Advanced School of Pastoral Ministry at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, graduating in December of 2000. This was a time of equipping and better preparing to continue to serve the Lord wherever he would lead.
To GOD be the glory for all the things He has done! It is the Cazarin's hearts desire to be all God wants them to be. To be God's Voice and God's hands reaching out to those in need.
